Progress Update

Updated the PAL, Communication log Project Portfolio and blogs to reflect the most recent project activities.
Met with the Network Engineering group to review their equipment count and rack design for the telecomm closet.
A facilities follow-up meeting with and the architects to discuss the 8 way duct bank and IT infrastructure for BE.
Working with client and Intech on client data storage requirements and design.
A site visit to the client to discuss their data storage requirements.

Follow up with the client and IT to discuss their data storage options.

Setup meeting with AV team lead and ITOC manager to review storage options for client.
Setup meeting to review vendor IT drawings.

Progress Update

Met with network services reviewing the infrastructure devices, WIFI AP count for every room.

Continue to follow up with NE group on the AP locations through -out the building.
Working with the client to confirm their peripheral request. Also what type of storage space needed for data.

The request for wireless printing with laptops in the building is not standard college and has security factors per the security and NE group. The testing continues but the college is not there yet. I need to meet with the client and review options for their request.

Continue following up on the wireless printing with laptops until the client is in agreement with a solution. Working on dates and time with client to meet.
A meeting is scheduled for April 23rd with the college NE group to review the infrastructure rack layout and equipment for each telecomm room.

Progress update

Reviewing the IT staging and cubicle space in lower level with client.

Reviewed voice requirements and the estimated number of fiber to the building with network services.

A meeting was held to discuss the phone system for the GT BE project and the design criteria used. The focus of the meeting is to gain a better understanding of VoIP technology and how the new technology may directly impact the BE building project (and others) in terms of building system requirements.

A site walkthrough to visit the IT vault, the SA MDF, and generator location, and conduit path into the SA MDF.

Met with the IT security and Network Services discussing wireless printing solution for academic college laptops.
